Chief
Technology Officer, JOHN CHEN creates
our advanced hardware applications and
addresses the complex interactions between
humans and their
technology.
In the
past, John was a software design engineer,
test developer, and program manager for
Microsoft specializing in online
communications such as "LAN Manager" and
the most notable, fastest selling
client/server email program: "Microsoft
Exchange." During the 1990's, he used his
knowledge of engineering and his
collaborative people skills to bring
virtual teams together for solving some of
the more difficult cross-group performance
problems. He innovated unique performance
analysis systems, that led to one server
growing from the support of a single
person to over 22,000 simultaneous users.
He assisted others to develop new software
applications, which resulted in two US
patents. In addition, he helped people
find their best roles on teams and this
grew into leading a special retention
project that involved coaching employees
into new distinctions and new careers at
Microsoft.
John
enjoys snowboarding, mountaineering,
motorcycle riding, car racing, flying,
bungee jumping, skydiving, and teaching
martial arts in his spare time. When not
doing extensive reading, he spends his
free time with his 3 children and lovely
